Two Crosses and a Tree

You see two crosses and a tree
You look to me
How could I ever begin
To explain

Who was this prophet?
Who was this man you call God?
And does he still live
Today?

Why do you need him
That makes you weak
To lean on
Someone else.

Why do you come to me?
With all your questions
It is Him who you
Should seek.

He is the way the Truth and the life
He is the Light in the Dark
And He is our King

If you seek you will find
If you knock he will answer
If you are thirsty you can drink

I know the truth
But could I ever give you the proof
To lead you
To Him

His grace comes flowing
Into my heart
And he leads me
On my way

I call Him friend
And I call Him Lord
But He always walks
Next to me

This man of legends
He has come to life
And He lives
In my heart

He is the way the Truth and the life
He is the Light in the Dark
And He is our King

If you seek you will find
If you knock he will answer
If you are thirsty you can drink

I don’t need the world
Cuz I’ve found God
And I’m happy in
His arms

You say he was just a man
But he was so much more
Cuz God took on flesh
For you

I can’t tell you God’s mind
But I can tell you what he said
While he walked
This Earth

If He could promise a thief
The chance to see God
What could He
Promise me

Now the curtain is torn
And the time is near
God never
Left us
