Triumph of Faith

I have always been told:
Love everyone as you love yourself.
If I had practiced this though
The world would be a much darker place.

I have always been told:
Good things come to those who wait.
But I haven’t until now
And I’ve gotten along fine.

But it has all been so hollow.
So colorless and empty.
Can’t you all see everything’s fine
I cry and fall.

Then am caught,
As I have been every other time
Before.
Now and always He has been there.

And it shall never change.
